Notes: "This is immediately behind Làrach Taigh Chrosby (q.v.). Information came from Alistair McCowan that this had been a very successful bed for asparagus when his grandfather and father had worked as gardeners at Applecross House. The Applecross Historical Society's early place name survey, c.1999, records this place as Crosbie's Garden.<br /><br /><br /><br />A copy of the 1874 Applecross Estate Rental, one of the few which survived a series of bonfires (culminating in the destruction of the Estate's records by the manager in the mid-1980s) shows that the Minister of Clachan Church, Reverend Roderick Nicolson, paid £1 for what is listed as ""Crosby's piece""."
