Notes: Kenneth Macrae: This is a name which has been discontinued and forgotten. Timothy Pont tells that while on his tour, on leaving Kishorn he came to the river of Resker and Upper and Nether Rishal. This river can be none other than that flowing into the head of Loch Kishorn near Tornapress. There may have been a settlement here, called by Timothy Pont Upper Rishal and in MacKenzie's list of places Resker. When it was evacuated and added to the deer forest is not known.
