Placename
Gaelic name: Rubha na h-Uamha
Name in Original Source: Rudha na h-Uamha
English meaning: Promontory of the cave
Placename feature: Promontory
Notes: Rudha na h-Uamha is given on the 1880 map slightly east of where Rudha na Fearn appears on the 1905 map. Two separate places? An Admiralty chart of 1850 lists the promontory as Ru nan Uag. However, W.J. Watsons says this is wrongly located by the Ordnance Survey maps and places it as a promontory project north-west into Òb na h-Uamha and the latitude and longitude reflected here represent an estimated location that must be verified.

Also called Runawhagh (MacKenzie's The north part of Sky Island and the adjacent main of Scotland, 1775)
