Notes: Mìcheal was Michael MacRae from Reauly. He was the grandfather of Murdo Angus Sutherland who wrote a history of Applecross. Michael’s ancestors were Catholics from Barra, and they lived in an upturned boat in Ruigh Aulaidh. There is a mention of this in a letter written by the Kenneth Macrae, F.S.A. Scot., to Donald K.
