Notes: Recorded by Ian Fraser, Scottish Place Name Survey, May 1971 (PN1971.016B), this was the name given for a field immediately below and to the west of the Kennels. It seems likely that this name may well have superceded an earlier all-Gaelic name. In 2012, the field is used to graze the Applecross Estate's stalking ponies
