Notes: Alternate name for cf. Loch a' Mhuilinn, suggested by Bishop William Reeves in PSAS Vol. III, p.281: About two miles south-west of the church, near the shore, is a small sheet of water, about a quarter of a mile long and fifty yards wide, called Loch Maree.<br /><br /><br /><br />Could this be what is now locally called Loch a' Mhuilinn? Reeves's footnotes say: About a mile past the school-house. It is laid down on Thomson's Map, but the name is omitted.
