Notes: Properly, Loch na h-Oidhche, the Ordnance Survey map of 1880 names this Loch na h-Eangaiche, and gives the meaning as the loch of the nets. This small loch lies to the north-west of Loch Gainmheach (q.v.)

W. J. Watson's notes: 214: Loch na h-oidhche (O.S.M. Loch na h-eangaich) - Night loch. The name is common, and is applied to lochs that fish best at night. It is near the bigger of the two lochs Gainmheach.
