It grows in the dunes, the a fàs a's a' mhealbhán; 652: The dunes, a' Mealbhán (sand-dunes at south Opinan at NG744724)<br /><br /><br /><br />It seems likely that this name in an Applecross context refers to the low, rolling sandy dunes or hillocks just beside the beach at Sannda.
