Notes: Rather than the English name Inner Sound, the traditional name locally for the waters between the Applecross peninsula and the Island of Raasay was An Lighe Ratharsaireach.<br /><br /><br /><br />Generally, An Lighe Rònach between Rona and the north Applecross coast; An Lighe Ratharsaireach between Raasay and the mid/south Applecross coast; and An Lighe Aillseach which spanned the waters between Lochcarron, Kishorn, Crowlin, Scalpay and Broadford on the Isle of Skye.
