Notes: (1) This was the name of the loch which fed the meal mill in Baile a' Mhuilinn (q.v.) Bishop Reeves (1854), PSAS III, p.281: About two miles south-west of the church, near the shore, is a small sheet of water, about a quarter of a mile long and fifty yards wide, called Loch Maree. <br /><br /><br /><br />It is one of the most iconic landscape features in Applecross.
