Placename

Gaelic name: Glaic Ma Ghabhain

Name in Original Source: Glaic Ma Ghabhain

English meaning: McCowan's Hollow (?)

Placename feature: Defile

Notes: This name appears in an undated list compiled by Kenneth Macrae F.S.A. Scot., (1903-1982) which is held by the Applecross Historical Society. The list runs in splintered sequences so it is hard to place this name accurately, but it is placed between Càrn Dunnchaidh and An Cnoc Breac so it appears to be in the Upper Toscaig area
