Placename
Gaelic name: Goirtean Garbh
Name in Original Source: Goirtean Garbh
English meaning: Rough corn-field
Placename feature: Field
Notes: Information from Dr Alexander K. Gillies. A note in a document by Ian Mackenzie relates that it is '... a rough patch of arable land', and places it at the north end of the township. A hand-drawn map (by Mrs Annie Fraser?) places it inside the north wall of the inbye land of Culduie. Duncan Murchison, on 24th October 2012 said that it ran - as a general name - from the houses at the north end of the township as far as Ali Dòmhnaill's house.
